Unicode text tool

Fancy Text to Normal

Paste stylized Unicode text and recover ordinary Latin characters without stripping emoji, punctuation or unrelated scripts.

Reverse converter

Convert fancy text to normal text

Recognized mathematical, script, Fraktur, enclosed, fullwidth and small characters are mapped back to ordinary Latin text. Emoji and unrelated languages are left alone.

Conversion happens locally. Pasted text is not uploaded.

What the converter recognizes

The reverse map covers the same mathematical, script, Fraktur, fullwidth, enclosed, superscript, subscript and small-cap characters used by this site's generators.

What it deliberately preserves

Emoji, accented language text and unrelated Unicode symbols are not normalized indiscriminately. This conservative approach avoids destroying information outside the supported style maps.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Will this remove every decoration?

It removes the supported alphabet substitutions and common underline or strike marks. Complex third-party decorations may remain if there is no safe, unambiguous reverse mapping.

Is this text copied as a font file?

No. The tool substitutes ordinary letters with Unicode characters. You copy the resulting characters as plain text; no TTF, OTF, or web font file is installed or downloaded.

Why are some characters unchanged?

Unicode does not provide a matching decorative form for every letter, number, accent or symbol. Unsupported characters are preserved instead of deleted or substituted with misleading symbols.

Does the tool upload my text to a server?

No. All text transformations run 100% locally in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. This website does not log, store, or transmit what you type.
